Privacy Policy

Monthly GO (“the Company”) establishes the following privacy policy (“this Policy”) regarding the handling of users’ personal information in the services provided on this website (“the Service”).

Article 1 (Definition of Personal Information)
“Personal Information” refers to information as defined under the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan, meaning information about a living individual that can identify a specific person by name, date of birth, address, telephone number, contact details, and other descriptions, as well as data such as physical appearance, fingerprints, voiceprints, and insurer numbers on health insurance cards, which can identify an individual on its own (“Personal Identifying Information”).

Article 2 (Methods of Collecting Personal Information)
The Company may request personal information such as name, date of birth, address, phone number, email address, bank account information, credit card number, and driver’s license number when users register for the Service.
The Company may also obtain transaction records and payment information that include personal information from affiliated partners (“Partners”), including information providers, advertisers, and advertising distribution partners.

Article 3 (Purpose of Collecting and Using Personal Information)
The Company collects and uses personal information for the following purposes:

  1. To provide and operate the Company’s services
  2. To respond to user inquiries (including identity verification)
  3. To send emails regarding new features, updates, campaigns, and other services
  4. To contact users when necessary for maintenance or important notifications
  5. To identify and restrict users who violate the Terms of Use or misuse the Service
  6. To allow users to view, update, or delete their registration information and usage status
  7. To bill users for paid services
  8. For purposes incidental to the above purposes

Article 4 (Changes to the Purpose of Use)
The Company may change the purpose of use only if the new purpose is reasonably related to the original purpose.
If changes are made, the Company will notify users by a method specified by the Company or announce it on this website.

Article 5 (Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties)
The Company will not provide personal information to third parties without prior consent from the user, except in the following cases or when permitted by law:

  1. When necessary to protect a person’s life, body, or property, and obtaining consent is difficult
  2. When necessary to improve public health or promote healthy child development, and obtaining consent is difficult

    • The method for users to request suspension of such provision

Exceptions (Not Considered Third Parties):

  • When the Company outsources all or part of personal information handling within necessary scope
  • When personal information is provided due to business succession such as a merger
  • When personal information is jointly used with a specified party and the user has been notified or the information is easily accessible

Article 6 (Disclosure of Personal Information)
Upon request from a user, the Company will disclose the user’s personal information without delay. However, disclosure may be withheld if:

  1. It may harm the rights or interests of the user or a third party
  2. It may significantly hinder the Company’s business operations
  3. It violates laws or regulations

A handling fee of 1,000 yen per request will be charged.
Non-personal information, such as history or characteristic information, is generally not disclosed.

Article 7 (Correction and Deletion of Personal Information)
If a user’s personal information contains errors, the user may request correction, addition, or deletion (“Corrections”) through the prescribed procedures.
If the Company determines action is necessary, Corrections will be made without delay.
The Company will notify the user when Corrections are made or when a decision is made not to correct the information.

Article 8 (Suspension of Use of Personal Information)
If the user requests suspension of use or deletion (“Suspension”) on the grounds that personal information is being handled beyond its intended purpose or was obtained improperly, the Company will conduct an investigation without delay.
If the Company determines action is necessary, Suspension will be implemented without delay.
The Company will notify the user when Suspension is implemented or when a decision is made not to implement it.
However, if Suspension requires significant cost or is difficult to implement, alternative measures necessary to protect the user’s rights may be taken.

Article 9 (Changes to the Privacy Policy)
Unless otherwise required by law, the Company may change this Policy without notifying users.
The revised Policy takes effect once posted on this website.
